Working Equitation

This Working Equitation Course looks at each of the obstacles and describes how they are ridden – in terms of patterns and what the judge is looking for. For details of how to teach the movements, such as side-pass, see the relevant training courses within the Kandoo Club site.

Hindquarter Control

Teaching your horse hindquarter control.

This course will teach your horse independent (without moving the shoulders) hindquarter control, off the reins. This means engaging the horse's hindquarters without having to apply leg pressure. The two main advantages of this being a less aggravating cue for the horse and leaving your signal leg signal for more advanced lateral work in the lessons to come.

The course will lead you to travers (haunches in), collection, lateral work, canter leads and flying changes, just for a start!
