3 - One Foot On
While just concentrating on one foot, we begin asking the horse to put a foot on the ramp and take it off again.
Lesson Steps:
- With the horse comfortably at the trailer, ask him to put one foot on the trailer and then take it off again as you ask him to back up. Again, this is the same lesson, however this time the trailer is in the way - step forward, step back.
- Give yourself (and your horse) a pat, you're doing well and the hardest part is over. Seriously, that was the hardest part - getting the first foot on (calmly and quietly). Well done!
